Coming together again

There are families who know each other because they live nearby. Others, like ours, have grown and traveled the world.
As the generations have passed, the Rendiles have started families, built lives, and put down roots in different cities and countries. Some of us grew up together; others know each other through our parents or grandparents; and many of us share the same history without having met yet.
The Great Rendiles Family Reunion was born from the desire to change that.
On October 24 we'll have the chance to reunite with cousins we may not have seen in years, and also to meet many who, until now, were only a name on our family tree.
This reunion aims to
Put faces to the names. Learn our stories. Understand how we are connected.
And, above all, to remember that we belong to a family with a history that began long before us, and with a legacy that is now ours to continue.

Our roots
Our story begins with Ramiro Antonio Rendiles and Ana Antonia Martínez Rodríguez and their nine children.
Nine siblings who followed different paths, giving rise to a family history that continues to this day.

Carmen Elena
Santa Madre Carmen Rendiles
Carmen devoted her life to God and to serving others. Her vocation led her to dedicate her life to the Siervas de Jesús, leaving a mark that reached far beyond her own family.
Today, as Santa Madre Carmen Rendiles, her life and work are part of a legacy that continues to inspire us and reminds us of the value of faith, service to others, and commitment to those who need it most.

Sister San Luis
Luisa followed in her sister Carmen's footsteps and also embraced religious life as a sister of the Siervas de Jesús, where she was known as Hermana San Luis.
Her life is also part of that family legacy of faith, devotion and service to others.

Ramiro Antonio
Ramiro Antonio Rendiles Martínez also left descendants, giving rise to a branch of the family with the Puerta surname, which is part of our family history and of a tree we continue to discover and complete.
From our roots
Four branches that keep growing
From Ana María, Francisco José, Nieves and Albertina came the four great family branches we present in this book.
Generation after generation, these branches grew, forming new families and spreading from Venezuela to different parts of the world.
Today we carry many surnames, live in different cities and countries, and, in some cases, are only just discovering how we are connected. But we all share the same roots.
